Meet the founder: David Buie
David Buie is the historian, educator, writer, and founder behind History_Academix. With over a decade of experience teaching history at both secondary and college levels, David combines scholarly research with a passion for storytelling. His goal is to help audiences think critically about the people, ideas, and events that have shaped our world.
Holding master's degrees in History and Teaching, David's work explores diverse topics including the American Civil War and Reconstruction, Texas history, military history, historical memory, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence in education. His research has been featured in The Social Studies Texan, and he regularly presents at academic conferences, continually developing new books, curricula, and digital media for broad audiences.
